ABOUT ME

My name is Stacey Arthur, a multi-award-nominated Black British female voiceover artist with a home studio, based in London.

My voice has a naturally smooth, melodic and dynamic quality, shaped by the London Estuary accent I grew up with. But it is far from one-dimensional. I can adapt it to suit the brief, whether that is a clean RP tone, a Northern accent, think Stockport or Manchester, a deep and rich Ghanaian accent, or even a Southern American drawl when needed.

At the heart of it, my voice feels familiar. Like someone you already know. I sound like the girl next door, someone you trust, but I can also dial it right in across age ranges, from a young child to an inner-city teenager, through to a warm, refined middle-aged woman.

 

That comes from my background in music and theatre. I naturally hear the rhythm in a script, the little tonal shifts, the almost musical moments, and I lean into that so the delivery feels real and engaging rather than overworked.

I voice commercials, social and educational content, live events and audiobooks, all from my studio in Greater London. I’ve worked with brands like Spotify, Castrol, and Vodafone, and, more recently, in animation and gaming with Warhammer and Bye Sweet Carole.

For me, it’s always about connection. Whether I’m telling a story or helping a brand land properly, I want people to feel it, relate to it and believe it. That’s what makes my sound stick.
